What is ClickBank? Well, ClickBank is a marketplace where you can find vendors and promote their products within your content and make a commission. It’s really quite simple. Once you know what you want to talk about within your post and how you can help people with a certain product from ClickBank, you can then promote it and earn a profit from it.
ClickBank is free to use and easy to sign up and once you’re in you have access to all the products in the marketplace and can start creating reviews and content based on these products which will earn you a great commission.
The Good & the Bad
PRO #1 – You have access to thousands of products that you can promote.
PRO #2 – It’s free to sign up, no hidden fees
PRO #3 – You can earn a pretty good commission on most products
CON #1 – The Marketplace can be a bit confusing for beginners.
CON #2 – Not all products are that great so you have to do research before promoting them.
CON #3 – If you want legit training you have to pay for it.
Who is ClickBank for?
ClickBank is for anyone who has an affiliate marketing online business. No matter what your niche is, chances are you will find great products to promote. They accept affiliates and vendors from over 150 countries which you can see the list when you sign up.
But, if you move to a country that is not accepted, you will no longer be able to use your ClickBank account. If you are planning to move to a country that is not accepted, you may want to close your account to avoid forfeiting money.
Once you sign up, add your information, tax id, create a username and everything else, you are able to access the marketplace. They have these nifty little boxes that help guide you in the process. But if you are feeling risky, go ahead and click on the categories and start browsing for products.
If you are in a photography niche, this is what it looks like when you click on Arts & Entertainment > Photography. As you can see it gives you a brief description and the average $ per sale if you choose to promote a product.
There are more than just cameras to promote here so this niche could make you a pretty penny when using ClickBank. Once you find a product that you’re interested in you can generate a Hoplink to then use on your website.
What is a Hoplink?
A HopLink is a URL for a vendor’s page. It serves two functions: It directs users to a specific vendor’s pitch page, and it tells ClickBank which affiliate was responsible for the visit by routing the traffic through the ClickBank HOP™ referral tracking system.
When a potential buyer visits a vendor’s page by clicking your HopLink, ClickBank’s referral tracking system records that you were responsible for the traffic. If that user buys the product within 60 days, you get credit for the sale and receive a commission.
When you are looking for products to promote, make sure to stay within your niche. You don’t want your audience to get confused by what you are sharing with them. And don’t be shy about using your Hoplinks. Use these links to create pins, ads for social media, and so on. That way it’s not just your blog that you are relying on. This is a good way to promote a product, promote your online business, and make money at the same time.
ClickBank Tools & Training
There is no free formal training, but within the website there is a section called “Understanding the Affiliate Role” Here you will learn about succeeding as an affiliate, earning commissions and getting paid, and there is advice for new affiliates.
There is a lot of support offered within ClickBank and you can talk to a live person, not a computer. They also offer a live chat during their business hours.
If you are looking to spend the extra money, ClickBank offers what is called “ClickBank University.” It costs 47$. Here’s what’s included:
- 8-Week Affiliate Training
- 12-Week Vendor Training
- Exclusive Bonuses
- Crash Courses
- CBU Forum
- Future Updates For Free
- They also offer a 30-Day Money back guarantee.
My Final Opinion of ClickBank
I think they offer a pretty good amount of services for free and you don’t have to pay anything to get started and start promoting products to make a commission. It’s a great way to have added affiliate marketing aside from Amazon and some of the other affiliate places and you can make a good commission on most of the products they have. Some products even go as much as 75% commission.
ClickBank at a Glance…
It’s free to sign up, you get thousands of products to promote and there is support if you need it and training classes if you want to pay for those. There’s nothing hidden in this product.
Overall Scam Rank: 0 out of 10
VERDICT: LEGIT – You can’t go wrong with ClickBank. As long as you have great content and you are researching products before promoting them you could do big things with this affiliate marketplace. You’re not giving them any money and you’re earning a great commission on the products you sell. It’s a win. So go get em’ girls.
