So, you want to create a blog and don’t know where to start. That was me a few months ago. There are so many platforms and websites claiming to let you create a free beautiful website but when it comes down to it there is always something to pay for. Here I will show you how to earn by creating a blog and it’s easier than you think.
I want to share my secret with you. I didn’t build my blog by myself. I had help. A lot of help. I had people behind me the whole time, encouraging, supporting, and teaching me what to do. That’s what I want to share with you next.
The Wealthy Affiliate Way
When I was searching online for ideas about starting a blog I came across a program called Wealthy Affiliate. Wealthy Affiliate is a platform that helps people of all background create beautiful websites with all the tools and training needed to get you started and keep you going for life.
What drew me to this website in the beginning was the amount of support, resources, and tools that had for me to get started. I was able to gain access to their platform, start my online business and start training for free. Being able to test the waters before jumping in made a world of difference.
No one wants to pay for something they’re not sure about and with Wealthy Affiliate I was able to have seven days of free training and resources before I decided if I want to stay with this platform. They offer so much and it’s hard to turn away after the seven days because you have access to so much and know it’s the right choice for building a business.
Creating A Blog Takes Time And Dedication
In order for your blog to prosper in the internet world it has to first gain trust, just like an employee gaining seniority. After consistently posting new and exciting content to your blog for a few months you will notice that Google and other search engines will start to take notice in your website. This is called getting ranked.
Before your website can get ranked it has to get indexed. Getting you site indexed in Google means that Google has recognized your website and knows you exist, but you still have to prove that your site is worthy of being viewed by people around the world.
This is where your content comes in. You want to be consistent in creating your content, this could be anywhere from 2 to 3 blog posts a week, and some people even do more. When I first started my blog, I posted everyday so I could build an initial foundation on my website to be viewed by others.
Finding Your Niche
Before you can jump into building a blog you need to figure out what you want this blog to be about. There are literally millions of topics or niches that you can choose from and all of them have the potential to be great and make you money.
When choosing a niche, think about what you are passionate about, what excites you, and how you can use that passion to help other people and transform it into a business. If you can work with this passion every day and can share information and experiences about it confidently and still love it, then this is the niche for you.
I think it’s best to not jump into it too fast and really think about what you want in terms of a business and how you can connect and help people. If you’ve already been pondering this and know the answer then you’re well on your way to creating a great blog website.
Earn Money With Your Blog
Along with creating great content you can earn money. That is where affiliate marketing comes in. A lot of companies will pay you to advertise their products on your website/blog. You can post reviews about products, highlight products in your text, or simply just have ads on your site that could make you money.
When your audience comes to your blog and uses these links to make purchases you gain a commission from the company. Commissions are different with every affiliate program so make sure to find out when you apply.
I find the best way to affiliate marketing is through reviewing products and talking about products for your audience. One of the main things with your blog is being able to help people. When you start your blog, you want to be able to offer people some sort of service.
You could offer advice, share an experience that could help others, or review products that you think your target audience will be interested in and want to buy. You want to sell products to people without actually selling them. Your content should do the selling for you.
Now you know just how easy it is to start your own online business, make it lucrative, and never have to work a 9 – 5 again.
Don’t believe me? Try it and you will see for yourself. What do you have to lose? It’s FREE!
I want to hear from you. What are your thoughts on affiliate marketing and do you think it’s for you? Do you want to start your own online business but are struggling to find the right way? I can help you. Leave your comments below and I will get back to you.
