Hello Ladies, hope everyone is ready for a great weekend.
Today I want to take a break from the normal business stuff and talk about something more down to earth. Relationships. No, I’m not here to give you dating advice but I am here to help you find a happy place in your life and live the way you want to.
One of the things that can make us unhappy as women is dating a man who is all kinds of wrong for us. What I’ve learned on my journey through life is that I don’t need a man to make me happy. He can be there as an extra perk but I am in charge of my happiness and my own life. Don’t waste time dating losers, find other ways to enjoy your life.
When you start your own business, you do it for yourself and if you are married with children, then you do it for your family and yourself. With that said, you have to find ways to enjoy your life. Find small things that can me you happy that doesn’t have to include other people or a man.
Here are some things I’ve found that I enjoy doing on my own.
Getting My Nails Done.
Going to the nail shop can be so relaxing. Laying back in the massage chair and getting a pedicure, having someone rub my feet for once as I eliminate the stress of taking care of a household and working. And then, a nice manicure after makes me feel so much better after a stressful week.
Reading A Good Book
I love reading a good book. I can get lost in it and ignore everything else on the outside, but I find the perfect addition to this is find a place in the house that is all my own. If you live alone then that’s great, but if you don’t, well, you can set up a corner in your bedroom and make your own little reading nook away from all the talking and asking in the rest of the house.
Going For A Walk
I love a long walk, especially with music. I honestly can put on my headphones and walk a 5k in a day if I wanted to. Just being outside in the nice warm fresh air and listing to my favorite music does so much to make me feel better. This is one thing that no matter how you are feeling, a walk will always make you feel better.
Getting in those extra minutes and feeling good all over, having that moment to yourself to breathe without stress and your favorite music is the perfect combination for distressing.
Going To A Movie
I know you might think that going to a movie alone is weird but on the contrary, I love going to a movie by myself. I get my popcorn and I see whatever movie I like. If I want to cry, laugh, or be excited I can do that and enjoy my movie without being asked a ton of questions from the kids. And this is a good way to decompress when it’s cold outside and you just want to go somewhere alone.
Get A Club Membership
Don’t laugh. The reason I say this because having a membership to a club like YMCA does wonders. I can go to classes to exercise, I can go to their Sauna, or I can go for a swim or sit in the Jacuzzi. Whatever I am in the mood for, I can get at this one place. It’s a good way to get out some of that pent-up stress and you’ll feel so much better afterwards.
A Weekend Getaway
Sometimes what I need is to get away from everyone and everything and just unwind by myself. There’s nothing wrong with taking a weekend away and just getting yourself back to your happy place. It doesn’t have to be far, you can go to a nice hotel in the next town over and take that period for yourself. Forget social media and text messages for a day. You will feel the stress melt away. Sleep in, order food service, get some exercising in and burn some aromatherapy candles as you relax.
The Hustle & Bustle
I sometimes know life can be frustrating when things aren’t going your way, and the reason or my title, Don’t Waste Time Dating Losers, is because we tend to do just that. Find other ways to fulfill your life and make yourself happy.
Build your online business, find the financial stability you crave and be happy doing what you love without the extra stress in your life. Believe me, you will be so much happier when you drop the extra baggage and start enjoying your life to the fullest.
Using these things, I mentioned above can help with just that. Schedule time to do these things over the next few months and you will see that you have eliminated some stress in your life. A little goes a long way.
With summer coming it would be a good time to get outside and relax on the beach with a book. Or take a walk down the beach at night as the tide creeps in. I’ve done it and it’s amazing. You can clear your head and think of some new and exciting ways to grow your online business.
Once your business takes off you’ll be able to enjoy the perks of being your own boss and doing things like this on a regular basis. Keep pushing through the hard times, have hope in yourself, (because you can do it) and don’t give up on dream of being an independent woman because it can happen. I have faith that you will do big things.
